When it comes to contemporary traditional Irish acoustic music Lunasa are in a class of their own, they stand head and shoulders above everyone else. In Lunasa you have 5 of Irelands greatest musical talents, including Trevor Hutchinson on bass, Paul Meehan on guitar, Sean Smyth on fiddle, Cillian Vallely on uilleann pipes and the incorrigible Kevin Crawford on flute, whistles, bodhran and understatement.
Between them in the past they have performed as part of The Waterboys, The Sharon Shannon Band, and Donal Lunny’s Coolfin. What an amazing pedigree.
Lunasa’s performances are nothing short of dazzling, we are so lucky that they have agreed to come to Wimborne. They have performed at the Hollywood Bowl (13,000 seats) and sold out and they regularly sell out at festivals around the world.
